Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This page explains what personal data is collected when you create a welcome book on livret.azurstay.ma, why, where it is stored and what your rights are.
Data controller
Ahmed Salhi, trading under the name “Azur Stay” (Bd Hassan II, Lot El Amri n°47, Oujda), who can be contacted at contact@azurstay.ma and on WhatsApp at +212 652 615 900.
A prior declaration was submitted to the CNDP on 10 September 2026; its response is awaited. This procedure does not interrupt the service, which is already in production. This notice will be updated with the reference of the acknowledgement of receipt as soon as it is received.
Data collected
When you create your account
- your email address;
- your telephone / WhatsApp number;
- a password (stored in encrypted form, never in plain text);
- the authorisations you tick (hosting and publication of the welcome book; commercial follow-up contact, optional) and their date.
When you download the welcome book template
When you download the free welcome book template from your account area, we record with your account the date of the download and the country chosen for the emergency numbers, in order to monitor use of the template. This download does not add you to any mailing list.
When you fill in your welcome book
- your name or the name displayed on the welcome book;
- the property information: name, town, capacity, Wi-Fi code, check-in and check-out times, the contacts you provide, equipment, house rules, services and addresses;
- the photos you add (logos, images of the property).
No guest data is collected by this service (no identity document, no contract, no police registration form). The welcome book is a page of practical information, nothing more.
Why
- To build and publish your welcome book and to manage your account — this is the purpose of the service and the condition for using it.
- To contact you again to support you or to offer you property management — only if you agreed to this when signing up. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
Your data is not sold, rented or transferred to third parties for advertising purposes.
Where your data is
- Hosting: OVH, servers in the United Kingdom.
- Encrypted backups: Exoscale, Geneva (Switzerland).
- Service emails: Brevo, France.
All these countries appear on the CNDP list authorising the transfer of personal data from Morocco (deliberation no. 236-2015). The data of your account and of your welcome books remains hosted in these countries.
Audience measurement: only if you accept it, Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) measure how the site is used. These tools may involve a transfer of data to the United States, a country that does not appear on this list. See “Cookies and audience measurement” below.
How long
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account from your account area, your account, your properties and your welcome books are erased. The encrypted backups, which follow a retention cycle of six months at most, then cease to contain your data at the end of that cycle.
A welcome book that is not renewed is deactivated on its expiry date (public page no longer accessible), then kept for six months, during which a renewal reactivates it. It is permanently deleted after that period.
Your rights
You may:
- request access to the data concerning you;
- correct it — most of it directly from your account area;
- delete your account and your welcome books from your account area (Settings → Delete my account);
- withdraw your consent to commercial follow-up contact;
- lodge a complaint with the CNDP (Commission nationale de contrôle de la protection des données à caractère personnel, cndp.ma).
For any request: contact@azurstay.ma.
Cookies and audience measurement
livret.azurstay.ma sets only the cookies needed for
your account area to work:
sessionid (your login, 2 weeks),
csrftoken (protects forms against fraudulent submissions,
1 year), messages (displays a confirmation after an
action, deleted as soon as it has been displayed) and
azurstay_langue_espace (remembers the language of your
account area, 1 year). Your guests' welcome books set no cookies.
The only exception: the account creation page also uses, with your
consent, the measurement tools described below.
Google Analytics
azurstay.ma uses Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics 4. This tool is used solely to understand how the site is visited: pages viewed, where visits come from, scrolling, clicks to other sites, form submissions. Advertising permissions always remain refused: no data is used for advertising purposes.
Microsoft Clarity
On the home page (French and English), the Pricing, Demo, Free welcome book template and Blog pages (articles included), and on the account creation page, we also use Microsoft Clarity, with your consent. Clarity records how the page is used: scrolling, clicks, mouse movements. We use it to see what gets in the way of reading or signing up (click maps, session recordings).
- What you type is not recorded. On the account creation page, the entire form is masked: your email address, your WhatsApp number and your password are never sent to Microsoft.
- Cookies set by Clarity on our site:
_clck(recognises your browser from one visit to the next, 1 year) and_clsk(links the pages of a single visit, 1 day). Microsoft may also use its own cookies, for exampleMUID: see the list of Clarity cookies. - We inform Clarity that advertising is refused: no advertising data is stored.
- Microsoft keeps recordings for 30 days, and some of them (favourites, a random sample) for up to 9 months. The data is stored in the Microsoft Azure cloud. Microsoft is also responsible for it for its own purposes: see Microsoft's privacy statement.
- Clarity is never used on the free Wi-Fi sign, in your account area once you are logged in, on your guests' welcome books, or on the legal pages.
Your choice
These tools are only triggered with your explicit consent, collected through the banner shown on your first visit. Until you have accepted, or if you refuse, no measurement cookie is set. Your choice is stored on your device (no server cookie is used for this) for 6 months; you can change it at any time via the “Manage cookies” link in the footer, which reopens the banner. If you withdraw your consent on a page where Clarity is active, its cookies are deleted and recording stops. The account creation page, on livret.azurstay.ma, asks for your choice separately.
On the free Wi-Fi sign page, neither Google Tag Manager nor Microsoft Clarity is loaded. If you have accepted audience measurement, a counter internal to azurstay.ma records only the number of signs printed each day: without cookies, without IP address, and without anything you enter (neither network name nor password).
